Hello,

My name is Maria Hannuksela and I have been a Certified Massage Therapist since April 2014.  Since my graduation I have taken many CE credits that apply for pain management & prevention.  My goal for each session is pelvic stabilization.  Some of my Certifications include:

-Certified in Orthopedic Massage through The Center of Pain Management.  www.orthomassage.net 

-Certified Myoskelatal Therapist (MAT) through the Freedom From Pain with Erk Dalton.www.erikdalton.com 

-Certified through the NASM (National Academy of Sports Medicine) for CES (Corrective Exercise Specialist).  This allows me to empower my clients to show them which muscles they should stretch and which they should strengthen to help them live as pain free as possible. 

-Certified Personal Trainer through the NASM (National Academy of Sports Medicine)

-Certified MediCupping provider through Ace Cupping Institute

-Certified in Pregnancy Massage

 I love the challenge to help clinical issues that involve muscle imbalances like Carpal Tunnel, thoracic outlet, complicated knee and shoulder issues like frozen shoulder, Sciatica, hip pain , unexplained knee pain & feet problems like plantar fasciitis and help resolve minor muscle sprains or strains.   I take a structural approach to pain management and prevention.   Each appointment is tailored to each clients individual unique needs. Sometimes movement or strengthenening exercises will be given to help you on your healing journey. 

 I am truly excited about these techniques!!  I also offer Swedish (relaxation), Deep Tissue, Myoskeletal Alignment Techniques, Orthopedic,  Pregnancy, Hot Stone, cupping integration & Chair Massage. 

 I have always been interested in anything that helps promote health. I am continually amazed at how wonderful God has made us.  He does tell us in Psalms 139:14 that we are "Fearfully and wonderfully made".  I give God all the credit for all that I have accomplished.  He has never failed me.
